Juvéderm® XC Cosmetic Fillers
Juvéderm is praised as the No.1 chosen collection of cosmetic fillers in the United States, offering several different, long-lasting injectable formulations, each of which is FDA-approved for cosmetic use. Each Juvéderm filler in the line boosts volume from beneath the skin and is designed to address different needs in different areas of the face, including the cheeks, lips, and chin, depending on each patient’s unique needs and preferences. Juvéderm is unique in that it uses innovative Vycross® technology, which is the latest revolution in facial fillers that allows for a smoother injection and results that appear natural and perfectly customized to each patient.
Juvéderm fillers are formulated with a modified form of hyaluronic acid, or HA, which is a naturally occurring substance that delivers volume, elasticity, and youthful structure to the skin and body. Receiving treatments with Juvéderm helps increase the amount of volume to treated areas of the face without surgery, while also temporarily resorting volume loss beneath the surface of the skin.
Revanesse Versa
Revanesse is a line of state-of-the-art dermal fillers designed to be as unique as you are. These hyaluronic acid fillers, or HA fillers, help to rejuvenate, smooth, lift, contour, firm, and enhance patients’ features. Revanesse Versa is an FDA-approved HA cosmetic dermal filler that can be used to smooth lines and wrinkles and enhance facial volume for a fresh, youthful appearance in patients 22 years of age and older. Versa can be used to treat nasolabial folds, oral commissures, marionette lines, and the mental crease, or the horizonal crease underneath the lower lip and above the chin.
The Versa filler’s unique formulation offers the benefits of instant results that produce natural-looking enhancements with substantially less swelling than other fillers post-treatment. This product line is developed and manufactured in small batches with rigorous quality control for optimal results to patients. In addition to its formulation process, what distinguishes Versa from other fillers is that Versa contains uniformly sized HA particles that are perfectly spherical, which offers an ideal balance of volume and smoothness. How Do Dermal Fillers Work?
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin’s surface to restore lost volume, smooth lines, soften creases, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, enhance sallow contours, or improve facial features. Cosmetic injectables offer a wide range of benefits, including simple injections, near-instant results, no downtime, customizable treatment options, and different formulations that target specific needs. Hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Versa and Juvéderm, are the most common type of cosmetic filler.
These products leverage the power of HA (a naturally occurring substance in the body) in its highest concentrations and purest forms to supercharge hydration, improve definition, and boost volume in the skin. HA fillers are highly versatile as they attract moisture and stimulate collagen production, producing a plump appearance within the skin that can be used in several areas of the face. How Long Do Fillers Last?
Juvéderm is a long-lasting, non-invasive collection of HA fillers that temporarily adds volume, improves contours, and offers youthful rejuvenation to facial skin in adults 21 years of age and older. Following their initial treatment with Juvéderm, patients may enjoy results for 1–2 years, however the length of time results may last varies from patient to patient. Like the Juvéderm line of cosmetic injectables, Revanesse Versa injections offer long-lasting results. A single Versa treatment can last for up to 12 months, following initial injection.
Most patients find that the optimal results from Revanesse Versa remain for 9 months. Over time, patients can safely schedule and receive additional or top-up injections to extend and maintain their desired results. Call Smile Pleasant Hill to schedule your initial HA filler injections or to book top-up treatments and ensure your results last!
Who Is A Candidate For Dermal Fillers?
Prior to your treatment, your dermal filler provider will evaluate your areas of concern and review your full medical history. Patients must fully disclose their medical history prior to treatment, as certain allergies, skin conditions, and neurological conditions, or medications, may affect their treatment and results. An ideal candidate for treatment with dermal fillers is generally healthy; has moderate-to-severe facial lines, wrinkles, folds, and/or signs of volume loss; has realistic expectations for their treatment and results; and seeks non-invasive cosmetic fillers to address their aesthetic concerns.
While most adult patients are eligible for cosmetic filler treatments, those who are allergic to any of the ingredients in their chosen filler, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or those suffering from certain medical conditions/neurological disorders may not be suitable candidates for dermal fillers. Additionally, patients with a history of hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation, those with evidence of scars at the intended treatment sites, and those with acne and//or other inflammatory diseases of the skin, may not be eligible for injections. The best way to determine your candidacy for HA filler treatment is to schedule a consultation with Smile Pleasant Hill.
Dermal Filler Aftercare
Following the use of hyaluronic acid injections, patients may experience some redness, swelling, bleeding, or bruising at their injection sites. Side effects from dermal fillers are not common and, when they occur, they are typically mild in nature and dissipate soon after they develop. Other risks that are less likely may include acne-like eruptions on the skin, skin sensitivity, skin infection, damage to nerves or blood vessels, skin lumps, scarring, skin necrosis, hyperpigmentation, and reactivation of herpes infections (blisters or skin sores). As with pre-treatment instructions, post-filler aftercare instructions will be provided to you prior to your injections. For more information, contact Smile Pleasant Hill.
